Introduction of department
Department of physical therapy is profession that uses knowledge and skills pertaining to physical therapy in caring for persons disabled by disease or injury. The primary focus is on the functional restoration of patients affected with skeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, and pulmonary disorders. Steps to achieve and maintain this focus include an assessment of the patient's current level of function and the degree of the patient's dysfunction, coupled with the establishment of long-term and short-term goals supported by an appropriate treatment plan. Therapeutic measures specific to the patient's condition are applied, as well as periodic evaluation of the patient, treatment plan, and physical therapy modalities.
Available certification
Registered physical therapy, professional person qualified to provide physical therapy in such areas as direct patient care, consultation, supervision, teaching, administration, research, and community service.
